lexapro side effects?? share symptoms/normal???

Hey guys so, I just started 5mg lexapro today and honestly I actually kinda feel a little better but My head just feels weird and funky. Is this normal? I Am a little tired but I know that is common. Anyone share the same weird head feeling effects?

Honestly I really already feel My mood has lifted. I'm just waiting for this stuff to really kick in

Great job on taking steps to manage your anxiety!

I don't have personal experience to share...but I have read enough posts to know that 'head' symptoms are common with starting and stopping meds.

Anxiety can also cause feelings of having a heavy or thick head. I have had this, and I don't take meds...

So it is hard to say if this is the medication or anxiety itself...but at least you know that it is not a serious side effect, and that it will most likely go away soon.

I hope that you feel back to yourself soon.:)

Yes, as a matter of fact there are a lot of meds that can cause that feeling, especially SSRI's. I just started taking Lexapro myself last Wednesday, and just increased it to 10 mgs this past Wednesday.

I can tell you now, that I can feel it starting to do it's job. Give it a few weeks to "kick in" and you'll be feeling like a million bucks! It's an annoying start-up side effect and it will go away within a few days probably.

My side effect experience for 8 days of 5 mg Lexapro:
Pros: Calmed me down, no palpitations, no panik attacks so far.
Cons: Heartburn for 2 days, gas cramps (worse in the beginning), mild nausea, slight dizziness.

Well day 2 here. Woke up very tired. Still dizzy and fatigued now its midday. These are side effects so I just gotta keep pressin on. I've been taking My lexapro around 10am, klonopin around 10pm. Is sure like to switch them. Lexapro at night klono during the days. Might have to talk to doc about it

Did your Dr. order the Klonopin to be taken at bedtime and is it causing you to feel tired when you take it at bedtime?

Ya he ordered it .5 mg at night, lexapro in the Am. I feel like it might Work better the other way around.......although ita just days 2 of the lexarpo. I might feel different in a great days

It does make me tires but the klonopin tiredness wears off after And hour

I take my Lexapro at night before bed. It's just a habit for me I guess since I've always taken my meds at night. Ask your doc about possibly switching the times, and see what they say. I can't imagine they'll tell you no. It works better for a lot of people that way.
