Ian, In your reply, you stated "they will also tell you that you cannot become physically addicted to SRRIs."
Can you answer this question for me then.....
Why is it that if you try and stop taking an SSRI "cold turkey", you get all kinds of messed up side effects from the sudden withdrawal, but then as soon as you take one, the withdrawal side effects stop?
I have been on Paxil, Zoloft four times, and now I take Lexapro, and with each weaning process I got some pretty nasty side effects, AND I weaned off of them slowly. The last time I weaned off of Zoloft, I did it over a 4 month period.
Please tell me why you think there is no PHYSICAL dependency to these types of meds.
This is an honest question here, and not meant to be rude by any means. I would just like your input on this.
