They started me on 10 for a week and upped to 20 where I remained for 8 years. If you can already handle the 20, then don't change it! Just keep plugging along. Do you have klonopin or anything to get you through? I didn't use any at the time but I feel I may need to for the switch I am going to make to zoloft. I too took it at night as well. I had no trouble sleeping really, but sometimes anxiety itself can make sleeping difficult. Just remember, MILLIONS of people are on antidepressants for various reasons and the scary side effects that a small percentage of people complain about, are really nothing more than a temporary nuisance. Some people go off them all too soon because they can't handle the side effects, but really don't bother to give the med a chance. I feel that sometimes we attribute every body feeling to a side effect, when really we were feeling alot of them even before we started the med. I hope this makes sense, and really look forward to hearing your sucess story soon!!! We can overcome. I have overcome 4 bouts of this. 3 without meds, and the last with meds. I have 2 kids and really want to be strong for them. That is why I gave the meds a try in the first place. I felt like I needed to do it for them, if anything. Believe me, I was terrified to take anything, but I am so glad I did, because it really really worked!!!!!!!!
