ok guys...Sunday my daughter leaves for college. I have been stressing over this for one year. Now that it is closer, well, ahhhhh!

the last two/three days I find I a itchy for no reason. Has anyone else has itchy as an anxiety symptom? freaking out a little.

Hi Gizmofab,

I'm sorry your having stress goin' on :( I get the itchies & skin burning too when my anxiety is really high. Mostly itches around my neck and along my jawbones. It tends to freak me out too, but I know it's just anxiety talking because it goes away when I get relaxed enough or distracted enough. Sometimes splashing cold water helps and deep breathing too. Hang in there, I hope you get feeling better soon <3

When I have sever attacks I will actually break out with a horrible itchy rash. The bumps have never been raised before just red and itchy. I have had to have a steroid shot before to stop the itching. I was told this is normal for us worriers!!
I hope it stops soon and you can get some rest.

I noticed a few weeks ago (around my really bad anxiety attack) that my face, neck, and chest were really itchy for a few days.
I had no idea what it was. But because you asked this I noticed that it was around the time my anxiety was really bad. I don't know much about this. But as dreadie said once I was distracted enough it would stop. Then if I thought about it again it would start. After a few days I forgot about it and went away.
Other than distractions I don't really know what would help. I could see how splashing water would help but I never tried that.
I'll be sure to try that next time though!!

Gizzy, I have missed you darlin, but i wish you could never need us again, but until then, the back
of my neck will ich and my head, I would say hair if there was any, I know that what I say you already
know but hear go's. The empty nest should be a source of Joy for us, but I suffered much heart break
when the first Daughter departed, You'll never guess what day it was, "Fathers day" she was so excited
i don't think she even realized it, but big ol crybaby did. I have since told her on several occasions.
Anyway Gizzy time takes care of this, she did well and is quite successful, she's on facebook,
Michelle Mandrell Johnson the younger one is also, Nicole Mandrell Lawson they are in mid 40's and I have 6 grand kids. So life gos on no matter what we feel or say. You remind me of many of the Women
