Dizziness a symptom of anxiety?

Hi, I wanted to post this and see if anyone else has had these symptoms when it comes to anxiety. Last year I woke up one morning and was dizzy. I think the most dizzy I have ever been. I tried to shake it off and after an hour it seemed to go away completely. The following month it came back but not as bad. It continued to do this until January which it fully stopped until just the other day. I woke up and was dizzy again. I thought I was just tired, but the feeling never went away.

When this happened last year I went to an ENT who did a hearing test and results came back perfect and also to my primary doctor who found nothing but a vitamin D diffencency which isnt un common in Oregon. I laid off in the summer months, like he told me to and started taking it again. I also have been on a pretty strict diet trying to lose a little weight. I have lost a total of 15 pounds so far using the slim fast shakes.
I was doing this last year as well around the same time. It is odd that the dizziness came back.

I am wondering if this is from a diet,anxiety or what else could cause this. I have never had this as a symptom of my anxiety before. I am very discouraged because I worked hard to over come this and it feels like i worked for nothing even though that isn't the right way to think. Can anyone help me here and give me some advice? I have a doctors appointment with my primary coming up and the ENT again, I just don't want to cost myself a trip to the doctors for nothing. I do know that after i get dizzy my anxiety wont let me forget I was dizzy and i feel off balanced for days after that.

Our subconscious mind tends to probe our bodies looking for a new weakness, yes it's quite common.

I appreciate everyone posting. Anxiety is for sure a strange thing to deal with. It also helps to know that I am not alone with this. It feels sometimes that others do not understand, when it feels so debilitating to me, I have recently quit the diet I was on and switched to eating things that are healthier for me. I am going to see my doctor on Oct,16th. The diet is the only thing I can think of that is something I did last year, that would be the same this year. I guess when I do things I tend to over do them. I also should not google because they give you worse case,lol..... Yes what feels like me getting dizzy is more like I am going to faint I guess because I see spots, not things spinning or me, the best way to describe it is getting sweaty, seeing spots cold and clammy. The first bad one I had was during labor with my son, and they have just been comming and going for the last 2 years. Is that a symptom of blood pressure?

thanks so much for the post, I just think me being dizzy speraticaly isnt a result of my ears or anything I am thinking that it is more along the line of anxiety as you have said it is just a new symptom, that i have never really experienced with it before, just feels like im going nuts sometimes. I am thankful i dont have it everyday:)

i thought it might be something i was eating i guess there are alot of possibilitys with things like this.I thought it was very odd that it started happening around the same time it did last year also....a little to ironic i thought..

no I am not on any medication at all and havent really ever been, The only thing I take is a vitamin D tablet 2,000 mg a day for a vitamin D difficency, I am leaning towards me haveing low iron or blood pressure one of the 2 just would like to get a handle on this so i know how to deal with it, Like i said before I need to be greatful for not havin them everyday, and not as bad as some people, I just need to stay positive. I am glad that i found this site its wonderfrul and I am glad I found some people who can relate to whats going on:) all of my family is on thyroid i am one of the only ones who isnt on it yet and hopefully wont have to be and i have some boarderline diabetics also could this be anything?trying a process of elimination

could you give me more insight on this? what do you mean? I thought it was my ears for the longest time, and the dizzyness is so speratic I dont think it is my ears. The first time I got dizzy i got sweaty cold and clamy and i felt like i was going to pass out I had to lye down to let it pass and it did, but they followed again off and on...I was also really tired...like the other morning a week or 2 ago when it happened. I guess my main concern is finding out whats going on...super frusterating doctors apointment on october 16th until then its the waiting game, thank you for your reply,

very true i guess i dont know when i am doing that, i get "dizzy" at odd times and i dont even have to have a panic attack idk im confused:)
