Baso,Just dropping in to check on you and hope you had a good night last night.
There is
nothing worse than not being able to sleep. If you are like me, after a few
restless hours of tossing and turning, your frustration level has gone through the
roof?
SC has
advised you well and I am going to add a few things that help me just FYI.
Establish a
regular bedtime routine where you go to bed at a reasonable time. Aim for
around 8 hours sleep per night. I need at least 8 hours of sleep and 10 is even better when I can sneak it in.
Avoid
caffeine and alcohol. A cup of hot chocolate or decaf latte can work wonders in
promoting relaxation.
Read a
light-hearted book or magazine before bed. Avoid any brain stimulation. I love to read mystery stories so I always have one load on my iPad.
Seek medical
advice for a medical screening exam if you go for long periods without sleep.
If my mind wants to wander into the "worry zone", I have made it a habit to repeat to myself over and over, "my bed is for rest not for worry".
I wish you peace,
Kitt
