You know you have an anxiety disorder when??

You know you have anxiety when,....there's a volcano erupting on Hawaii and you're afraid the water will boil up and create an imbalance resulting in a tsunami that will manage to wipe out the EASTERN seaboard.

You know you have anxiety when,....you still won't eat beef because of the fear of Mad Cow Disease.

You know you have anxiety when,....you panic every time you're bit by a mosquito because you're convinced it's carrying malaria.

hahaha this kind of breaks the trend of this thread, but I thought this was funny, and wanted it to make sense.

So, a couple of weeks ago, I go to the doctor convinced I have throat cancer and am dying. All the doctor does is feel my throat for a lump. He goes, "Well, you don't have any lumps and your voice isn't changing."

I say, "That's the one symptom I was waiting for." And we both laugh.

You know you have an anxiety disorder when you can list off a bunch of symptoms of diseases.

...when you leave the TV on all the time so you can hear conversations, (not just in your head)....

You know you have an anxiety disorder when you feel compelled to wear a helmet to the gym!

You know you have an anxiety disorder when you leave your car at the airport to go on holiday and all you can think about on holiday is "Did I lock the car?" and "Will it still be there when I get back?"

You know you have an anxiety disorder when your desperate to goto the toilet at the cinema but your to anxious to get up during the film lol.


You know you have an anxiety disorder when you keep your mobile phone on constant charge.

You know you have an anxiety disorder when you turn up for an appointment 2 days early (This happened to me last week lol)

You know you have anxiety when you hear of someone having heart problems& the next min you have it.

You know you have an anxiety disorder when you've been dressed for your doctor's visit for two hours... and are still procrastinating on this forum. :)

You know you have an anxiety disorder when... You've had every type of cancer and heart disease known to man, and some random, EXTREMELY RARE diseases that have 1-2 known cases world wide.

You know you have an anxiety disorder when... You have counted how many breaths you take in 60 seconds.
You know you have an anxiety disorder when... You wake up periodically through the night to take your heart rate or blood pressure.
You know you have an anxiety disorder when... You have your doctor's office on speed dial, or as an ICE contact.
You know you have an anxiety disorder when... You know the names of and order your own blood tests at your doctor's office and your doctor isn't surprised by this at all.
You know you have an anxiety disorder when... You know medical lingo.
You know you have an anxiety disorder when... You have studied holistic and homeopathic medicine on your own for fear that your doctor won't be able to cure your ailments.
You know you have an anxiety disorder when... You have taken alternate medicines.

You know you have a panic disorder when you had no choice but to go grocery shopping and you leave a cart filled with about 300.00 worth of groceries near checkout, and go home hysterical. You lay in your bed with a cold cloth on your head and your spouse had to go back and get the groceries.
