just nervous today

there is a big project at work. i am basically in charge of it. there are 2 people to help me with it, but i'm scared of asking them for help.

otherwise i have the usual anxiety today, just wondering how i am going to get through the day.

Hi there!
Firstly, that's pretty cool that you're in charge of a big project. I know it may not feel like it but go you and good luck with it!

Secondly, have you ever tried breathing exercises or perhaps do a little exercise before going in to work or before you have to start the project? (Even during, as well!)

What normally gets you through bad anxiety?

Keep strong, take long, steady breaths to calm your nerves and heart rate.
Try drinking a cup of warm milk. (Unless you have issues with acid-reflux as it could make that worse)

You're doing some things very well if you're being put in charge of a big project! Don't sell yourself short. This sounds like you're doing better than you're giving yourself credit for.

Awesome and you should be proud of yourself.  A new project and your in charge.  Remember to delicate well and always keep your finger on the pulse of the project.  Don't get stuck in obsessing that something bad is going to happen; enjoy your new project.

If you have a team working with you - remember there is no "I" in team so gently lead your team and try not to let one person take over the floor. Remember an effective Project Manager thinks of ways to build up "Team Spirit" as a Team strong in spirit will go far.

I have great faith in you and also saying a special prayer for your project to be successful.

Sharing the responsibilities of the project with others isn't asking anything of them - it's allowing them to do their jobs, too. You wouldn't want to be a part of a project and not be able to contribute, would you?

I bet you'll make a great leader - sensitive people are usually in tune with the needs of others, too.

Like others said, you must be doing something right already if you're in charge of a big project. Go you!
