Hi,
I have been suffering from a severe headache for about 5 days now. It feels like a blade is cutting through the very top of my head. The first day I had it I was stressed so my parents think it is a migraine. I wasn't so sure. The second day I had a major panic/anxiety attack thinking about what the pain could be. It took me a long time to calm down. Now its day 5 and I still have a numb headache with occasional sharp pangs of pain. But now I feel weak and drowsy, and nauseous. I've had diarrhea on and off for all this time as well. I'm really starting to worry that this is something serious and that I should go to the doctor, but that could just be me overreacting.
What do you think I should do?

If you're that worried, you should definitely see a doctor. But, it could also just be a result of anxiety. Is this something you've had before? Do you suffer from health anxiety, like some of us do, and worry that every pain is something serious? It's always better to be safe than sorry but I do know that headache can at times be a result of anxiety. Best of luck and let us know how you're doing.

It's always better to be safe than to be sorry.

Contacting your physician,....going to Urgent Care,...or the Emergency Department.

Best to get a medical professional to take a look.

Welcome to HealingWell.   Many things may cause your symptoms one of them being the stomach flu bug.  I would call my clinic if I were you and talk to the triage nurse to see what she suggests you should do.

I hope you are soon back to your normal self.

Hello everyone,
thanks for all your advice. I feel a bit better today, it seems to be settling down. I took an aspirin this morning, I'm trying to take it easy, and I'm focusing on not panicking. I scheduled a doctors appointment for next Thursday. If I feel any worse before then I will go to the doctor the day of.
I'll let you all know the results. :)
