Therapy combined with medication was the way to go for me. But it's long road, an a bumpy on to boot! Everyone is different. You have to find what works best for you. Talk to your Dr., he might be able to advise you better. Finally get yourself a support team. The healing well family is an outstanding support for all of us. Keep posting and reaching out, and someone will always reach back. You are not alone.

Unless it's causing you horrible side effects, medication could be a major help! 10 years ago, I was so against it, but ended up taking Effexor. Guess what? It saved my life!
The way I see it now?: this is a war we are fighting against a powerful enemy. So whatever munitions I can put my hands on, whatever helps me win, I will take!

Derealization is some scary shiz, it's one of the most unsettling symptoms and will rock anybody's world. My suggestion is to add a fair amount of intense exercise, at least 20-30 minutes, 3-4 times a week. This gets your body releasing its own positive mix of brain chemicals that can assist in giving you a sense of well being and peace.
