I am glad the procedure is behind you.  All drugs can cause unwanted side-effects.  The information presented to you by the Pharmacy aims to help you understand, avoid and deal with side-effects.

Not everyone experiences side-effects, and just because a drug’s side-effect is discussed in an information  booklet does not mean that you will develop it if you take that drug.

Hi Becky, I had the Mirena put in about 18 months ago. I have adenomyosis so it was fitted to ease my pain. Every woman is different, mine took a long time to settle. I have a hormone imbalance due to PCOS so I think that's why my depression is so bad. I didn't really have many side effects, just some bleeding. Hope you get on ok with it.

I actually just had my copper IUD removed and never in a million years would have thought that having something like that in place would have caused my anxiety to be worse or possibly what was the cause of it but since I had it removed I have seen a difference! The copper one does not have hormones in it however too much copper can cause anxiety symptoms. Every person is different and that is just my story. Sending positive energy your way!!
