Hi all-

I am having a bit of a panic episode right now. I was put on lamictal 25mg. Had only taken it 3 days and started getting itchy skin. Called my doc and they said stop taking it and come in Monday. I don't have a rash but I am freaking out now. Shaky and everything. Can someone help ease my mind??

Itchyness/Rashes happen randomly for so many reasons! I was itchy with a few hives yesterday. No new products or foods or anything...and it went away over night.

My daughter was on Lamictal for a while with no incidence. We also kept a close eye on her skin.

I do remember that she had some itchyness that turned out to be nothing.

It is good that your doctor is being cautious until he can see you. Be sure and go in so that he can determine if you can continue the Rx or not...it could very well be that you can.:)

Thanks so much for your response SC! It makes me feel better knowing someone else has had the same side effect and everything is good. I guess I can calm down now so not to make a mountain out of a mole hill. :)
