Hello all,
First time posting on the boards, will try to help others out as and when I can but if I may, I need to ask a question. I hope this is the right place, it's more a physical symptom so if there's a better board I apologise.
Basically I have a high anxiety condition, approximately three years ago I went through what I can only describe as a personal HELL with it when it first arrived. But fortunately I managed to get things under control. I do not suffer from panic attacks anymore, and I have begun to understand exactly how to shut them down on the now rare occasion they try to creep up on me.
HOWEVER...
Recently, I have felt something I did not feel when I was suffering. It is like a 'pressure' feeling inside my head. Internet research has come up with 'cloudy head' syndrome, foggy head syndrome. It's basically a difficulty concentrating, a feeling of slight disorientation, and like there is a force of pressure behind my forehead on my brain. It's actually quite distressing if I'm honest but research suggests I am not alone in this. Unfortunately it would appear there is no known cure.
My girlfriend believes it to be a psychological link to my anxiety condition (which it may very well be, and if so then I am sure it will go in time), but I am not convinced. I am a musician studying production, and spent a lot of time over the last month or so wearing headphones. Whether I have damaged my ears in some way I do not know, which is effecting my other senses. I visited a nurse who looked in my ears and found no sign of infection, and she was extremely casual in her diagnosis of, well, nothing. She assured me that it would go in a few days. Well, I'm afraid it hasn't.
Any advice from people on this symptom (anxiety related or otherwise) would be great.
