I was supposed to start wellbrutin over a week ago and I'm still scared to try it. My anxiety has been not too bad the last week (afraid to put that in writing) and I'm not looking forward to the side effects. However a family member takes it and told me she had zero side effects.
I went to the chiropractor yesterday afternoon and he told me that my hip was out which he adjusted and he said my neck and back are awful. Wants me to come 3 times a week for at least 6 weeks. I'm nervous about
this but he explained that when one part of your spine is out of place how it effects your whole body and you wont be healthy. He even explained to me how it effects my anxiety.

I take wellbutrin and have no side effects at all. I have tried other medications like prozac and zoloft and they gave me tons of side effects. I am very sensitive to medications. The wellbutrin has been the best for me so far with no side effects. Hope it works for you as well as it does for me. Good luck

I am sorry you fear taking the medication prescribed by your Dr. I think if the chiropractor feels he can help you it is worth a try as are many of the alternative treatments for anxiety.
Check out our resources to find other alternative treatments.

Hi Nik,
I hope that you can come to a decision regarding your medication. I understand how it is hard to take the first step toward new and unknown territory.
Everyone is different of course, but from what I have read, Wellbutrin (Bupropion) tends to be well tolerated by many people.
It differs from and SSRI, in that it is an amino-keytone anti-depressant...and therefore the side-effects associated with other A/D's seem to be less for some.
(I am actually doing some reading up on this particular Rx since my mom is experiencing some depression, and we are thinking about
asking her doctor about
the possibility of meds.)
Know that this is a personal decision, and we will support and cheer you on in any direction that you choose to go.:)
Peace and progress!

Hi Nik,
I am new here just joined today. I have been taking wellbrutin for a few months, I started on 100 mg, and worked my way up to 300 mgs with no side affects. I also take at Pristiq with it.... this one had side effects the doctor warned me about
, but they went away after a week or so. I also take Clonazepam, and serequel at night for sleeping.... it is never fun to have to rely on drugs, and they are not the be all to end all. I still have anxiety every day and night. I have tried several other antidepressants this mix seems to work the best. I also tried group therapy.... which didn't work, I have seen a (shrink) can't spell the other word. for a year now... she doesn't seem to be helping so she has suggested I see a counselor...
Remember to breathe deeply (helps to focus)and no storm can last forever....
