I just need to vent, the last two days have been so bad for me. Yesterday in the afternoon I felt strange at work, I was so thirsty and my hands were ice cold and I just felt like something wasn't right. I tried some deep breaths but that didn't seem to help. Fast forward to today and didn't feel well most of the day, picked up my daughter and was driving home and got this sudden rush from my stomach to my chest with numbness and tingling all over my chest and stomach area. I got scared and pulled over and had a friend drive me home.
I feel like crying, screaming and kicking. I am so sick of feeling sick. I just want someone to tell me what is wrong with me. Every doctor doesn't know. The spell as I call it only lasts 10 seconds but then Im a complete mess for hours after.
If anyone has any advice, options, answers or has anything happen to them like this please post back to me. I cant take this anymore.

I can't give you any answers, because I question it myself. I have had a pretty bad day today also. I had to take my little dog to the vet, and he yelps all the time, so I got a headache...then my daughter has had a fever for two days, and I had to go to school and get her homework. I get home and fight with the other half because we have money issues right now..so I have had to take 1 and a half xanax today. I have had a very nerve racking and stressful day also. I can tell you though, that we will have a good day soon. We have been through these days already, and we will get through it. It seems like it will never go away though. I hate when it happens in the car too, we have talked about that before. Thankfully you had someone to drive you home. I have found that if I turn on the air conditioner in the car, and let it blow on my face it has calmed me down. Not sure why, maybe it's the fact that I know I'm getting air? I don't get the stomach rush to the chest anymore, since they figured out my digestive issue. Have you went that route yet? Have you had your digestive system looked at? I still do however get the chest tightness, and then numbness and tingling like I did today. I just keep telling myself that I have gotten through it before..How are you now? Hope tomorrow brings you a better day... :)

Nik have you been tested for diabetis? I have it and extream
thirst is one symptom.

Other than that it sounds like a short Panic Attack but it may
be tied to your health, get your blood sugar checked. Peace

Hi Nik,

I am sorry that you had a rough couple of days.:(

I have also experienced multiple days of not feeling well. Anxiety comes in patterns like that for me as well.

The symptoms can vanish as quickly as they came on, so don't lose hope.

Get checked out by your doctor as Larry suggested if you have not been recently seen, and continue your anxiety management efforts.

Tomorrow is a new day, and one that I hope finds you feeling much better!

Good Morning, Woke up and feel a little dizzy this morning. Thank you guys for posting back to me. Larry, I did have my sugar checked twice. Its so weird that I feel like that because I thought the same thing.
Paddicake, I have had my stomach looked at and they told me I have Gerd and moderate acid reflux. I don't take anything for it and probably need to have someone check me again. It was such a scary feeling and maybe it is just anxiety. I just don't know anymore and I'm so upset. I have my annual exam scheduled for this Friday with my GP, however just feel like I don't get any answers and I continue to have these awful days. I have been so emotional the last few days and have just cried for no reason. It actually makes me feel a little better after I do.
I'm sorry to complain so much I'm just so upset and tired of this.

Nik,

I am glad to hear that you have an upcoming appointment! Have you layed it all out for your doctor yet? Letting him/her know the extent of your challenges/symptoms/worries will allow him/her to suggest the best treatment options for you.

You may need to consider the next step in your anxiety management plan (meds/med change, therapy) and your doctor can assist you with that.:)

Please don't concern yourself with complaining. Heck, we all get down to that, every now and again. That's part of the joy of this forum: We all understand, we get the need to vent and how crucial that is, how helpful, and how cathartic.

Do vent when you feel the need to, and know this is a very safe place to do that.

Wherever we are on our journey, there's always bumps in the road, and it's helpful to know that we have a "team" of people in place,...including our doctors, family and friends, and yes, even our forum! :)

Don't feel bad at all..That's what we do here, is help each other. I know when my acid reflux acts up too, it goes straight to my chest like heartburn. I know when my colitis acts up, it gives me the weird feeling of my stomach going into my chest. Unfortunetly both of these make my anxiety go crazy, because I swear it has to be my heart. Plus just that feeling itself is so scary, so I understand. It sucks really bad I know because not much helps it, and it just makes our anxiety that much worse. I'm sorry your feeling so bad. You might want to get on something for the stomach, so the acid doesn't rise up. I know we have talked about it before, and driving when it happens is the scariest. I hope you have a great day soon. Feeling a little better this morning, thank you all so much for the advice and I will talk to my doctor again tomorrow morning about all this. Hope everyone has a good day.
