I am really glad that you are finding it comforting to be here, and a help to you and your current situation.:)
To answer your question "Are panic attacks something that I will be dealing with randomly for the rest of my life?"
I can't give you a definitive answer of course, but I can tell you that there is certainly hope for recovery.
I myself sought therapy (CBT) did lots of self-help material and practices, and with the support of this place, I can say that I am, for now, free of the panic attacks that I used to suffer daily.
I still deal with, and have to manage my anxiety, but I have comes light years from where I once was.:)
So, no, you do not need to anticipate that this is just something that will always be your reality from now on...there is hope.
