Switching from Xanax to Klonopin

I've been "on" Xanax since my Crohn's diagnosis 3 years ago. Currently at 3mg a day for maybe the last 2 months. But before that I was rarely taking it since I was doing so well.

After my past week and all the stress I caused I decided that maybe something more long term is needed, so I chose Klonopin.

The dosage is the same 1mg 3x a day. I haven't started it yet because I know that the half-lifes of the drugs are different and Klonopin takes longer to work, I'm curious if anyone experienced any withdrawl symptoms as they switched. I really don't want to deal with that.

Well if I had the choice I wouldn't take them. I had gotten to a point where the only anxiety med I was on was Xanax as needed, and that was once or twice a week. But since about March and especially last week it's very bad. I just started on Zoloft again so I've got to get that up to where it's working.
