Hi Sandy and welcome!
I am sorry that you are dealing with this issue currently. It can be hard and frustrating to know where our anxiety symptoms start and end...especially when the situation is complicated with a possible physical component such as GERD/gastritis.
What have you done to treat the anxiety? Have you had any luck with self-help techniques? How about
therapy?
I would recommend a two pronged approach here. I will post below a great group of self-calming coping skills to help reduce the anxiety component of your trouble. Hopefully this will bring some relief after putting them into practice (3xs a day, everyday!)
Self Help sites with breathing/relaxation exercises instructions
Panic attack relief exercises:

Then, I would recommend working with your doctor to rule out or treat any gastro issues that could be causing or exacerbating the problem.
Keep posting here with us for anxiety support as well. We are here to listen and understand anytime (we also have a great GERD forum, if you find that is also what you are dealing with)
