Vacation...S.C. Away Aug 9-17th.

Hello all,

It is vacation time for my family!  I am finishing my Summer session of classes today, and tomorrow (early) we leave for our trip.

We will be flying to Seattle, spending a day there, and embarking for our cruise to Alaska (inside passage) on Sunday morning.

I am really psyched...though sad to say that I will have spotty internet connection if any.

My husband and I try to stay as unconnected as possible on family vacations anyway...

So I am depending on our awesome members to support one another during this next week and a half.:)

Hibbe and Merrida will be here of course, but the more support, the better, right?

I will be around until tonight...but we leave for the airport tomorrow (Saturday) morning before the sun comes up.:)

ENJOY! Disconnecting is a very good thing to do from time to time. It is the only way to complete relaxation. Don't worry if it takes you a couple of days to unwind enough to relax.

Have a wonderful trip SC, we are planning this cruise with friends of ours from FL, so looking forward to hearing about yours. I have heard from others, this is a fantastic cruise. Take lots of pictures!

Hey guys...I am back.:)

WOW!! What a trip!! Alaska is amazing!!! Like nothing we had ever seen before!

Our cruise was great...we had plenty of onshore excursions to enjoy. We did ATV's and horseback riding, as well seeing the glaciers and learning about the history/culture of the area.

It was a lot to pack into a little over a week!

We got in last night...went to the grocery store for essentials...swung by my daughter's school for her home room assignment (she starts junior high today!!) and pretty much crashed!

It is good to be back. I hope that you all are well. I have not heard any updates on Kitt so far. I did check my e-mail, but did not see anything from her daughter. Will let you know when I do.

Wonderful to have you back, SC! So glad you had a great time!
We've all been worried about Kitt...they usually say that "no news is good news", but I don't know. It's quite worrisome.

Sorry to be slow getting up and running...but my youngest just started junior high yesterday!

Wow!! I forgot just how much homework parents have that first day...and now it's x's 6!!

Every teacher for every period had a take home pack to read and sign...plus the district requirements/emergency cards.

You'd think I'd be used to this after 20+ yrs of parenting! ;p

I think I am back in the zone now though.

Great job members of welcoming and supporting other members!!!!

Thank you...and thanks for holding down the fort with Hibee while we were away...I know that is a lot to ask.
