The KISS singer, Gene Simmons, actually had the gall to say that depressed people should go ahead and kill themselves!!!! mad mad
I read the article on Google News and it's cited in quite a few sources. Can you imagine one of his young fans reading the interview he did and thinking, "Yeah...Gene's right. I guess I'll kill myself. What's the point?"
This makes me SO SO SO SO MAD that I could scream!! skull

I think that anyone in the public life, especially people who are provocative by nature, can spout out ignorant nonsense. We can't censor the world. Best we can do is educate ourselves and those around us.

I agree with you, and sadly, I do know people who share this sentiment. But, as you said, it was very uncouth for him to state something this blatant in a public manner.

Just consider that in Simmons language, that means "LOOK AT ME!!!!"

Yes but look at the free publicity he got, and now everyone is
talking about him, the fact that he is a jerk and we don't like him
is unimportant, "we are not the people who buy his music",

After years of nothing he is all over the news, "news really".
