I'm always so excited to see a person fall in love with yoga. I started yoga while I was pregnant with my second child, and it ended up helping with labor and keeping my weight down. I love the gentle flow classes, but my favorite is a yin yoga class. You take the gentle stretches and hold them for 3-5 minutes each. It's held in a warm, dark room with tons of candlelight. For me, it helps release and restore the muscles that are affected by my anxiety (mainly the neck, shoulders and lower back). And it also increases your flexibility like no other practice.
Cornell, we do have a ton of guys that come to my studio!! Very few of th are creepy, haha! But if you'd like to try yoga out, you can do it in the privacy of your own home:) There are tons of instructional videos on YouTube. Just search gentle flow or yin yoga.
