There are some of us who are not suited,-- regardless of why,--to the loud, noisy, busy, over-stimulating world in many aspects.
I'm one of those. For what it's worth, I went to Catholic school and for many years, considered taking my vows. Different reasons, but still,...I understand.
A few things I can connect with: My dog. He's my baby, my buddy, my best friend in lots of ways. I have never handled the passing of my pets very well, very traumatic. Quiet. We moved almost a year ago, from MA up to NH and for the first time we have our own house,...on land,...on a dead-end road,...not 'user friendly'...and we're near the end...the neighbours all love and respect privacy. We live across from a brook and waterfall, and a large lake at the end of our street.
Since I made the move up here, (barring my health issues),...believe it or not, I've found a greater sense of peace.
That doesn't mean we all have to consider moving, or that we all can. It's just that, ever since this new found peace and quiet, the privacy, the seclusion,...for the most part, a great deal of my general anxiety has diminished.
I'm not cut out for city life or fast paced living, the sensory overload stuff that seems to be very "in" right now. It sends me over the edge. Quickly.
So you're not alone! I wanted to share that with you....you are not alone....
