Laying in bed. Everyone is asleep but me. My chest hurts, like a burning pain. Back, neck, arm hurts. Terrified I'm having a heart atta and debating whether or not to wake my husband.

It can't hurt to wake him, even if it'll just make you feel better. How old are you? Have you ever seen a cardiologist? Do you have Aspirin handy?

Teacher
This is such a scary thing. I'm having chest pains now too. So we will fight this together.
Has your pain let up? Only you, and you alone, knows your body. Do you have any "new" pain or pain that is much stronger than usual? My chest hurts every night but after 20 ER visits in the last 4 months I've learned that my symtpons are stemmed from anxiety.
It won't hurt to wake up your husband. He can talk you through this and you two can discuss if this warrants a visit to the ER. Don't forget to do your deep breathing exercises. Try to clear your mind and meditate and just breathe!
Please let us know ASAP how your night turns out and what you did to cope. It may help those of us who consistently have nights like this. Sending prayers your way. May God keep you safe and in His arms.

Thank you so much for worrying and wishing me well. I ended up taking a xanax last night and falling asleep. Then my day was incredibly busy at school so I haven't had a chance to be on here. I've been a little off today. Feeling a little shaky and I have a headache. Also I've had a very annoying facial twitch today that's about
to drive me nuts.
Will try to answer everyone questions. I'm 35 and overweight :-/ my maternal grandfather died after a heart transplant in his 70's and my dad had a heart attack at 50. So I have a history on both sides.
I went to the ER due to my chest pains a couple of weeks ago. Had blood work, a chest xray and an EKG. Everything looked good. They gave me 2 Ativan and sent me home.
I'm taking 20 mg of lexapro daily. It has helped my anxiety a lot. But, after starting the meds, I have had muscle twitches, stomach issues and night sweats. But I'm trying to just hang in there.

So good to hear from you! I also get the muscle twitches and night sweats. I will be on here off and on for the rest of the day. Write back tonight and let me know how things are going for you!
I am 34 with a stocky build. Not sure if my weight plays a part in my chest pain. I too have history of heart related issues on both sides.
Talk to you soon! In the mean time, keep hanging in there!

Teacher,
Well done on getting through it !!
I have had what you describe...an anxiety fallout as I call it...headache, the shaky feeling...
I think you did remarkably well considering what you experienced last night.
Thanks for the update. Continue your journey without feeling discouraged. ..it is a process, and you are getting there.:)
