Good to hear from you again! So sorry the anxiety bug creeped back in on you!
Try to remember what you did today to bring the anxiety back... Did you eat chocolate, too much coffee or caffeine, spicy or fatty foods, or any alcohol? Did you have a particularly stressful day at work? It's very important in knowing what triggers our anxiety to help keep it at bay.
You also mentioned that you have felt good over the last month and that you stopped taking your meds. Put this peice of advice in your back pocket and hang on to it for awhile..... Never let your guard down if you have GAD! No matter how good you feel, always continue taking your medication (could be the reason why you feel good in the first place), continue participating in therapy or at least on here, and always incorporate your coping skills/ techniques into your day!
Unfortunately, most of us who have this disorder will have to "deal" with it our whole lives. It may hit us in phases as it seems in your case. But if we continually keep ourselves armed with the tools to manage our anxiety, it won't sneak up on us and we can live normal, productive, and peaceful lives!
Make a phonecall to your doc.... Get back on your meds and continue your therapy and coping techniques. I always say "join us on the anxiety train - destination is to Healing"!!!!
Look forward to seeing you on here more often!!
Big hugs!!
God bless
Cornell
