Abilify Update

I am now down to 2mg of Abilify a day and must take it in the morning, rather than at night as it is stimulating for me! BUT I LOVE it!! It has made such a fine difference in how I feel! It has given me my life back so far!
My NP said that the dopamine in my brain must've been low and the Abilify boosted it up! YAY!
So I encourage anyone to give this drug a try IF your doc thinks it may be a fit for you.

I was on abilify 15mg for over 2 years and felt it worked well for my bi-polar. I didnt have any big up or down episodes. In fact I dont think I cried at all during those 2 years. My physic NP thought it was causing my 24/7 anxiety and took me off it and put me on zyprexa. It was 2 weeks of hell, I felt on the verge of tears the whole time. I finally got him to call me and told him that my anxiety might be a bit less but now all i want to do is cry. So he put me back on Abilify 10mg yesterday and I couldn't be happier. It really does work, at least for me.

Janetlee- I am so glad that the med is helping you. Abilify made me more angry, I have anger issues with anger with my bipolar. I am so very glad that this is working for you, YAY!!!!!!!!

I am pleased the Abilify is working well for you I have heard lots of good reports about this medication unfortunately here in the UK it is not a medication that is prescribed much I think due to the cost? I hove asked my pdoc a few times about it but he always changes the subject.
