Hi Everyone,
Just a little note to say that my time on here is up and this will be my last post. I said in my original message that I most likely wouldn't be sticking around and I actually stayed for a lot longer than I had anticipated, so it’s time for me to shove off!
I hope I've helped one or two people, but if not so be it - all the information I've posted will always be here for anyone who ever wants. The truth is that through work and commitment I have changed my relationship with anxiety so that now I have no fear of it. I could spend an entire day feeling anxious now (it doesn't happen, but if it did) and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest: no more than if I had a minor cold. I believe this is the key to recovery, and it is available to absolutely everyone – no matter how lost you feel sometimes. The thing about anxiety is that it by nature makes you feel like it’s very serious, but in reality it’s only exactly as serious as you take it.
I'm not a religious person but I will always admire the biblical quote made famous by President Lincoln:
Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.
Don’t fight your emotions, don’t go to war with yourself. Love your crocodile.
