Gross, I know!

Hey guys,

So, I am sorry that I'm about to talk about..... bowel movements, lol.

Does anyone out there experience this -

Minutes before I have to go, I get what feels like an uneasy, floating, blood flow interruption sensation. It's almost as if something is dragging or pulling me down (I'm awful at explaining). I have noticed that I have been feeling these things immediately before I make a bowel movement. Note that it does not occur so much during/after. It is at its worst right before - like probably when it's moving/making its way closer down. Anyone?! What the heck could this be - PS, I suffer with severe anxiety, hypochondria, health anxiety.

Lol John! Stool normal and only sometimes blood. It is like an off balance sensation.

Well I would talk to your doctor if you're really concerned about it or if it's causing you discomfort. I can't say I've had that issue before but it may not be anything to really worry about.

If there's blood in your stool, get that checked out. Eating things like beets can turn it red. You're sure it's blood?

Similarly, if we have a particularly large bowel movement the vagus nerve can become over stimulated again, taking blood away from the brain to help with what's happening elsewhere in the body. It's an unpleasant reaction and one that can be embarrassing but medical professionals recognize it readily and know the very simple treatments required for vagal nerve fainting like the backs of their hands.

Please don't be alarmed by the mention of fainting.  I have had this sensation many times, and have never fainted...it just passes...so to speak!  ;p ;p ;p

I still think you should get it checked by your doctor BTurc. I think to ignore symptoms like blood is not good. None of us are medical professionals to give you a diagnosis. We're just giving advice based on our own personal experience.
