I worked out around 7:40-8:00 for 30 mins..small breaks in between da workouts and now DAT I'm finished my heart rate is not back to normal...I'm worried..no chest pain but rite afta da workout I felt light headed and a lil dizzy..felt faint and weak....I haven't worked out in a long time but the workout really wasn't that intense..I did hip hop abs by Shaun t..so its more dancing than anything...

A lil background..I'm 27..female...overweight (5'8 218lbs) ..had myocarditis back in 2011...had da full heart work up done then..and again in 2013 due to my anxiety and needing to know my heart was fine...everything was normal on both occasions....

Could this b my anxiety or should I b at e.r lol I'm really worried plz help

Also I didn't really eat much today...had sum rice and gravy earlier around 2p and have been drinking water...could DAT b a reason as well???

but maybe you have a curable allergy when it comes to the letters: T's and h's ....
Self help is usually the answer...
There is a span of 20 minutes between 7:40 and 8:00... unless universal laws have changed...
'Sum' of the rice could have had Something to do with it.

Is there a reason for the unecessary harsh tone in your response?  When a member posts with a concern...it is my hope that they are answered with care and respect.  We all have different ways of communicating, and some tolerance and understanding goes a long way in making this forum the awesome haven that it is for our common struggles.  If you are bothered by a member's method of posting...please choose to simply ignore it altogether in the future.

Forgive me for this......

I did not come to THIS forum to be corrected on my spelling...I know exactly what I'm writing and the fact that you were able to understand my post regardless of the preferred spelling choices shows that you do not suffer from an inability to comprehend messages....maybe there is a cure for your negative energy....being hugged more as a child is typically the best solution but Its safe to say that ship has sailed....don't come back to my post!!!!

hi ray. sounds like some anxiety going on. have a chat with your doc. in the meantime try some deep breathing exercises. sometimes a little medication or counselling is required. feel better soon.

Hi Ray,

Sorry I am just now coming in on this...went to bed early last night.

How are you feeling today? Better I hope!

It sounds like you maybe had a panic episode during your workout. Sometimes the physical sensations that occur during exercise are so similar the anxiety, they can trigger and attack.

If you are now feeling fine, then I think you can rest assured this was the case...

...however, a call into your doctor for advice is never a bad idea.:)

Thnx sc for responding to dat person...had me heated for a sec. Lol but I'm feeling much better now...I think me focusing on my heart rate while working out is wat elevated it...I'm going to try da workout again today and I will try not to focus on da speed of my heart and c wat happens :-)

Yes! Get 'back on the horse' so to speak...

...I have had attacks during exercise, and have had to force myself back into trying again...so as not to give in and have a phobia in that regard.

As long as you have been cleared to safely exercise by your doc...go for it! :)

Hi Ray. First of all, good for you that you're working out again! That can be a huge help towards your overall well being and coping with anxiety. Because you haven't worked out for a while, it may well just take longer for your heart rate to return to normal. Try not to worry while you're working out, especially since you've had a full work up done and nothing was found. Also, make sure that you have eaten something and are hydrated before working out. Not eating or drinking much can lead to the same symptoms you were concerned about. Keep up the exercise and let us know how you're doing!

You are right, S.C. I should just have ignored it and did not show good judgment in responding in that manner. Not as an excuse, but I honestly didn't know if this was a serious inquiry or not.
I know of some very elderly people who speak this way because its the way they grew up... they are sweet, nice people... and I'm sure there are others that do the same thing and I thought he was making fun of people who simply speak that way...
So now that I know you were serious, Ray, I only wish you the best and hope things work out well for you. Apologies to you and good luck.

Thnk u for da encouragement msp :-) ...and yes I was informed dat my body needed to adjust to being active again and with time it would...so I'm definitely not as worried as I was...about to start day 2 of my workout so now I know wat to expect and I will definitely keep everyone posted on my weight loss...needless to say IM EXCITED!!! so yes hope everyone has an amazing day and thanks for da POSITIVE responses!!!! :-)

Hey Ray, first off sorry to hear that you are concerned. I hope you are feeling better now.
Its good to exercise but if you started regular training just recently your body may need some time to get use to it. My heart beat sometimes becomes so messed up as in terms of count and strength, I feel the same too. Rest assured you are fine, since you got your tests and they were good.
