Daily panic attacks ?

Oh where do I start , past week I've been getting panic attacks every evening and I've havent had them daily like this, it's freaking me out , am I having a nervous breakdown ?
Can you guys share your lowest time with panic attacks I'm just scared that they are happening daily and I'm home my safe zone , I got Agorophobia too on top of it all , but now the fact they are happening daily at home , it's do terrifying ,
Want to start Zoloft but I'm so scared of getting worse because I won't handle any worse I just wont, :(
I feel so weak and so scared of theses attacks that when they do come everytime time I'm sure that I'm dying , my heart races I shake chills paste around can't sit still and it comes in waves of ten min calm down then panic again like that for one hour .
Please share your stories cuz I'm feeling like I'm loosing it .

This summer I had my worst bout of anxiety ever. If I wasn't having a panic attack, I was on the edge of one. From May til the beginning of August, I was a mess. Agoraphobia and all. I finally got out of the panic cycle with the help of therapy and daily xanax. I am still not nack to normal, but I am getting there...VERY SLOWLY. But at least I can go places and enjoy my family again. And for that, I am truely thankful.

I am so sorry you are experiencing such terrible anxiety. But you will get better:)

I can relate. I am now getting daily panic attacks. It really is horrible and just like you said. I'm just trying to take it a day at a time. I'm taking Xanax for them right now. I know I need to get into some therapy though.

Your on prozac too ?
How often are you taking xanax ?
I have xanax but don't want to take it daily so I live this horror with out anything but I always have the bottle with me I even open it and have the dose ready just in case , I take it sometimes , just not daily .
I'm starting Zoloft I really hope tomorrow I will , I'll cut 25 mg in half than cut the 12 in half , because I'm terrified of what it will do to me :(

Oh I'm really sorry that you have them daily also , it's terrible .
Your taking Xanax daily ? Are you on SSRIs ?
it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who has them daily , because I was so worried than I'm having a breakdown .
I'm really really scared of starting SSRIs but heck I know I need them .

New here, but I too am so afraid of meds but know that I must start something. Things have gotten so bad lately, I feel I am going crazy. Please let me know how it works out. I too, plan on cutting the doses down to start.

How often do you have panic attacks ?
Im thinking of starting tomorrow at the lowest dose , ugh I'm soooo terefied and in sure that I'll freak my self out while I'm on it , it probably won't even be the side effects it will be my anxiety ,
What I'm afraid of is when I panic now I know that it's my body doing that but if I'm on the pill and it's causing panic I won't be able to escape it because the meds will be in my system .
Ugh I know I'm over thinking it , I know I am but I can't help it , I take Xanax as needed and not scared if that , I think SSRIs scare me most cuz they mess with my brain as if my brain isn't already messed up from my anxiety .
Oh I hoping that I'll have enough courage to start ..

I feel exactly the same! I don't even take my zanax when I need it because initially I get more anxious. I never was like this before. I would take most anything you gave me. I had a reaction once when I took a muscle relaxer and since then it's been like this. Not sure if it was a reaction or a panic attack at the time, but nonetheless it's affected me. I suffer from dizziness and LPR and then anxiety followed, I don't even drink alcohol anymore because of the feeling. And every time I try to have a little wine and relax I end up more anxious.
I can't stand this! Totally like you, I overthink it all. But on a positive note, both my sisters suffered panic/anxiety and both are on antidepressants and doing well. As I know thousands of others are. It's just hard to convince myself! I'm already dizzy 24/7 so I know I'll be thinking is it the med? Is it me ? ???
In answer to your question about panic attacks. I would say I don't have full blown attacks daily but I call them mini attacks. Which come on a couple times a day. I just NEVER feel normal. Maybe a few minutes a day.

Hi RN.,

I encourage you to do all that you can in order to find relief and start your recovery!

Even if you don't like the idea for maintenance meds...it does not have to be a permanent situation.

Starting your meds, while you work a program...either therapy, self-help (or both!!) will allow you to make progress...

...and eventually, think about weaning off your Rx's, once you are strong with your therapy skills.:)

Have hope, and go after your healing with all of the resources available to you!

I started my Zoloft today only 6 mg I cut the 25 in four , because of my fear of the SSRIs , and I feel a little weird but maybe it's my anxiety not the meds , I think I'm freaking my self out ,
But last night I woken up because of a panic attack so I knew I need a change , so I woke up and just took the Zoloft . When do you guys think that I'll see if I have a bad reaction to it or not ?

I've had reactions to many medications, but never to Zoloft, I know all our bodies are different and respond differently to medications.

I just got back on Zoloft, so because I never feared that medication, I had no reservations in trying it again, and I started at 50 mg's this time.

When I did have an ALLERGIC reaction to a medication it was typically in the first 4 days, and mine was hives all of my body, or a reaction that you know is just not right.

I was just told to take fish oil by my doctor for my cholesterol, and I was scared of those, but am still here wink

I really understand your concerns, I am extremely paranoid of medications, but that is just me being me!

I went through this, this summer like mom2g&q and I am by no means recovered, but I also take daily xanax and it broke the cycle of agoraphobia. I still get nervous, but if I plan accordingly, I can go out of the house and enjoy my family which I was not doing just a few months ago. I even hopped on an airplane today and traveled, which I wouldn't have considered this summer.

If say to take SC's advice and do whatever you need to, to break this cycle right now. You don't have to stay on xanax or an ssri forever, but it's better to stop it before it gets too bad.

I feel like it's already bad , I'm having panic daily not leavimg my home , but my home isnt safe anymore cuz I've been having panic attacks daily at home for the past 5 days and last night woke up from deep sleep from a full blown panic attack , ugh I'm not taking Xanax daily only as needed , but every evening I fear because I don't want another attack , how do I break this cycle , I used to relax at home and feel sain but not anymore , I've never been this bad , I'm trying really hard not to fear the panic attacks because I think that's what is driving it , but I cant :(
I will pray and pray that tonight I will have peace ,
This is probably the worst tone to start the Zoloft cuz I know it can get worse before it gets better, but I got no choice

How did you feel when you started Zoloft .??
What is your dose you started with and on now ???

I'm scared to feel weird out of it or hallucinate weird stuff like that , I don't know why I associate theses effects from Ssris I just do :(
Also on drugs website says fast pounding pulse is a side effect , I'm starting zolfof because to get away from that not to add more of it , ugh I'm a nervous wreck

At my lowest point (last October), I ended up in a psych ward due to constant anxiety.

However, it answer your question regarding allergic reactions to meds, I believe it would happen rather quickly. When I took Effexor, I started having adverse reactions the same night. I hope to Zoloft works out for you.

Not an allergic reaction justs bad side effects reaction
In afraid of that they will worsen me and I can't handle being worse

Oh man I'm hoping the Zoloft will help , I have klonopin and Xanax and but I'm not taking nothing , dont ask why I put my self through it with our help of benzos but I'm just scared of the benzos loosing the effect then im really screwed during panic moments ,
I'm not adraid of having hives or Anything like that I'm really anxious about getting worse or hallucinating or just not acting my select or being in panic 24/7 due to the SSRIs ,
I took it this morning only 6 mg of 25mg Zoloft but I figured il gradually increase .

RN, I started this time on 50 mgs, and really have been doing fantastic, I always hate to speak too soon, but this medicine has always seemed to help me greatly, but then again I have a very strange system, and have a lot of issues with medications, but Zoloft has never given me any side affects other than diarrhea at times.

I am finally feeling so much better, I think getting off of the medicine that was causing me so many problems helped, but the zoloft seems to be really getting my mind in a better place.

I still have anxiety, but there is just such a relief that I am not feeling hopeless anymore.

How long have You been on it before you start feeling good ?
I only took 6 mg cuz I'm so terefied :/ but I'm hoping for the best . I will increase to 12 mg in two days then to 25
I just heard so many horror stories that I was terefied to start , still can't believe I took them today 😖

Rn, the med's you have are a blessing from God, my wife was a vegitable until Prozac came out, she's been
on it for years, 40mg a day no problems, Mam she spent 17 years in bed, be Thankful, Peace

Yea I think I need to take this medicine with more respect rather then distrust and fear , because I'm causing my self the anxiety toward the Medecine ,what I need to do is allow it to work , it's going to be hard but I'm hoping that it will help to lessen my anxiety .

You can not lose your mind from anxiety, and your sanity is not threatened...

...and a psych ward is not just for people suffering pyshcotic episodes.

It is a haven for those needing help with acute anxiety...or even other mental health needs. I had a friend who was an alcoholic, and needed help to stabilize as she was trying to detox, and the psych ward was the section she was placed.

So what Jennings was likely referring to was a stay at the hospital in order to get him to a place of being able to care for himself at home, after receiving interventive care and meds for and extreme anxiety episode. (correct me if I am wrong Jennings!)

That's some relief ,
The way ice been feeling so off always worried about my panic attacks and in the constant state of fear and getting worse I thought I could loose it , but I'm glad that my sanity is not a risk 😓
Now I just have to change my thoughts that my life isn't at risk from these attacks 😨

I understand how you feel. I too have been having panic attacks daily for the the last three days. I can't get my heart to stop racing and nothing I do seems to help take my mind off my fears (in my case...my heart). I've been takin 50mg of Hxdroyzine at night which knocks me out so I can sleep. But as soon as I wake up inthe morning and feel my heart beat the fear returns again. I have an appointment with my doctor on Tuesday, im hoping they will provide some other suggestions.
