[ Need Help : ( ] Severe Anxiety , GAD , Stress , Depression

Ok I think I need some Help/Advice again, this is the only place I trust to get good answers , I dont want to research Google or other forums because that might be worse for me . I was going to stop by ER today after work but decided to sleep on it instead .


I was working today 10am-3pm , and around 12 I started getting this weird feeling in my head , here is how the feeling left :

-Mostly on the back of my head , just feel as if something is there and very noticeable , I seem to concentrate on that area alot because I feel something there .

- I tend to feel foggy & dizzy

- I feel weak , and have this feeling like I might pass out , my body will give up and I'll just faint .

- It's a weird Expanding feeling in my head , as if something is growing in there .

- Some shooting pain sensations , comes and goes , very random , at different places .

- My head feels very heavy .

- Back of my head feels bruised as if someone hit it , but when I touch it with my hands I dont feel any pain there .


It's a very very odd feeling , difficult to explain - I did some research here and found some people at similar experience , not sure if exactly the same .

A few times , maybe 1-4 times a day the past few days , I had this expanding warm feeling in my head and I thought I was going to die / faint , it lasted only 1-3 seconds , but it felt very scary .

At first it kinda felt like something was leaking in my head , some liquid was in there but I think this is just my mind going crazy . Im just trying to write down all my sensations I was feeling so you guys can give me the best advice based on how I feeling .

Overall , just a very weird foggy sensation , it last few seconds and during this time I honestly feel like my body will give up , either I will collapse / faint or die .

I was going to go to ER but the doctors are pretty upset with me showing up every so often and I'll prob get told its just anxiety and sent back home .


EDIT : The liquid feeling I talked about , I guess it would be the blood rushing to my head , I just felt it now as if blood rushed to the back of my head for some reason .

It sounds like you are making some progress. It might feel slow and frustrating, but it is still there. Not rushing to the ER is a pretty big step.

I know the sensations you are having are absolutely terrifying, but they are a result of your anxiety. Don't forget that anxieties symptoms are massive. What it can do to our body and our perceptions is astonishing and heart wrenching. It sounds like you are hyper aware and scanning for physical abnormalities. When you brain picks up on the slightest blip on your radar, the adrenaline starts to be released, the anxiety panic cycle begins, and the physical symptoms increase, balloon, and amplify. Which, of course, only serves to create more anxiety, and the cycle worsens.

This forum is wonderful resource, and I am glad you are using it. Remember, trust your doctors, and practice those breathing and coping skills!

Eh Jolleg , very good words . My brain does tend to scan my body to look for signs or to scan to see if anything is different and the slightest difference will cause an alarm to go off in me .
Problem is the scanning my brain does happens soo random and usually when Im just bored sitting and relaxing not really thinking about anything .


Hey Scaredy Cat , no worries - I was a bit confused at first but its fine , glad you replied back and helped me out .

ALL of you who replied to my threads really helped me out alot , few weeks back I was actually having self harming thoughts and just wanting to stop everything , I really couldnt deal with this anymore and my life has been pretty crap for the past few years , I really wanted to just give up on life because I felt like a failure and embarrassment to my parents and to top it all off the anxiety I was having during this time was super hardcore and pushed me over the edge .

Im 22 living at home with my parents , no education unfortunately and just recently got a random part time job , nothing to brag about .I have No life , no real purpose , I have no friends , never really had any due to my anxiety and me being very awkward person . I just basically stay in my room all days , go out to the gym few times , friday and saturday nights alone on the computer are normal for me now .

I really want to better my life in 2015 , get friends , get a nice job , meet people , go places , have a social circle , be someone important , etc ................. The problem is that Anxiety is just holding me back , so I put everything else on hold in my life right now , I put my other plans on hold for the moment and just want to deal with my anxiety , I want to put my effort into improving my anxiety so I can finally move forward .

I honestly appreciate the work and time you put in Scaredy Cat , its a tough job and requires dedication and its nice to have a few members / mods who contribute on a daily basis to help others out , thats what makes this community unique and special .

I really wanted to go out and try to meet new people , socialize , better my life but thats all on hold until I fix the problems Im experiencing with my anxiety . My anxiety is getting better I would say but all it takes is one weird funky tingly expanding feeling in my head to get me worried .

On Thursday I'll go see a specialist and get diagnosed , I honestly believe I will be diagnosed with a ton of stuff like Anxiety , depression , ocd.


Update on how I've been doing : Well last few days were OK. My question is , has anyone experienced something similar to this :

Its a minor headache pain , and its a very weird funky warm 1-3 second tingly warm expanding feeling in my head ,feels like my head is swollen and getting bigger , and feels a bit like a 1-3 second hallucination where my third eye is activated . Feels like my head is swollen and getting bigger and sometimes vibrating / pulsating .
It feels like my mind is leaving my physical body and Im going to die , heres the scary part -

It feels like there is something in my head that does not belong in there and is giving me these weird tingly feelings . ............... This is the scariest feeling ,


I really hope someone experienced something similar to this so I can talk to someone who relates , Im trying to think its just anxiety and working on coping skills but darn , this weird head sensation is a real scare . :( :(

Finally had a day off from work and slept a little longer , woke up around 12pm . I did not go for an appointment today, they were not available unfortunately .

On Friday I will go to a Anxiety Center and schedule a 1 on 1 appointment with a specalist about Anxiety , talking always helps me alot , and would like to learn / get education on my problem as much as possible .

Well today I felt good but then around 9:20 pm I started to get this fuzzy headache feeling : /
And it just came out of no where - I went dizzy / fuzzy sensation in my head , went to my room and just sat down , I guess the feeling of dizzy / fuzzy mild headache feeling was enough to trigger my brain into thinking something was serious .

I tried to control it by telling myself its just anxiety symptoms and nothing serious , telling myself its not serious problem did work a bit , calmed me a down but I still had all these weird sensations .
It's been about 1 hour into this and Im feeling OK , just a bit nauseated - but then again , I just ate a big meal little over and hour ago and feelings anxious after a meal isnt a good combo .


Gosh , I hate this feeling ; feels like my mind is expanding , my eyes feel a weird minor pain sensation , I do feel like Im going to faint , I feel light headed / dizzy like Im going to fall over but at the same time I feel heavy head ,such a weird combinations of soo many different feelings .
I wouldnt say I feel hallucinations , that is not the right work , but my mind feels very warm and expanding / swollen / dizzy / lighted headed and at the same time heavy head .

Good use of you positive thinking and coping skills when you were feeling symptomatic! Keep that up...and continue to learn new ones, such as the ones posted at the beginning of this thread...or find some others in our Resources that you like.

Hang in there until you can get in for your appointment...and stay away from those type of t.v. shows that thrive on fear and sensationalism!

Well my last few days / weeks have been OK , I dont want to say perfect , I did not feel any anxiety symptoms or anything too serious , but I do have some stress because Im 22 years old and I contently get thoughts about the future , trouble finding a good job , soon I'll have to move out , meet a girl and eventually start a family , etc .

I really dont want to sound like a broken radio and repeat the same things over and over but I just feel OK for now , no major anxiety / symptoms or concerns but I dont feel great , just OK.

Right now Im having some minor headache fuzzy weird feelings , thats prob why I logged in her to update this thread , its feel very weird but Im trying to stay calm and tell myself its just a random head sensation , might be the weather aswell , it keeps snowing one day , then day its all melted and process repeats itself , I have not left my home for the past 2 days , just wasnt in the mood for going out , I worked all week and had day off on thursday and friday so I just stayed in my room , I really enjoy just staying in my house , I feel safe and protected and dont have to deal with outside problems .

Ughh these head fuzzy feelings is annoying , what makes it worse is I cannot really describe it : (

All the things mentioned in your post could be contributing...

Have you tried increasing your water? Dehydration can be a common (and easily fixed) headache factor.

Other things to try...

Progressive Muscle Relaxation as well as other stress relieving exercises.

Practicing these daily should help. There are links in our Resources....or let me know you are interested in trying, and I'll post them directly for you!

Other than that, seeking to be as healthy as possible in your lifestyle, and being careful not to overdue it on the pain relievers...to avoid a rebound effect headache should help.

Pain that can be felt on the outside of the head (to the touch) is usually nothing to worry about and tension related.

Do your progressive muscle relaxation exercises and light stretching of the neck and upper body.

You are going to be alright! You will feel better soon and get back on the road to feeling better.
