MG-
I've found that "reducing stress" is sometimes impossible. Doctors would be better off telling us to find ways to "manage stress". You are on your way to doing that. You're starting therapy, you're starting exercise, you're changing eating habits and you're posting here too. You are on your way, it just doesn't seem that way because it's a long road. I know that you'll learn to manage these feelings. I've suffered with some degree of panic disorder for 10 years or so and the severity varies. I can tell you from experience that while I have health anxiety, I almost never worry that my palps or my bad breathing are some serious issue anymore. I've accepted that they're symptoms of panic. What I'm doing now is trying to learn to manage the panic and to remind myself that panic attacks come and panic attacks GO. I've ended up in the ER and I lived to tell the story. If you look at the bright side, you've done the same. Certainly that was a bad day, but when you look back, you're healthy, nothing scary was found and all that was, was a bad day. I'm starting to ramble, but I know you get my point. You can do this. We all can with the right tools, whatever those may be and the support we offer each other! The animals need you! 😉
