ER trip tonight..

Hey everyone. So I just got home from the ER. I was at work today and felt ok for a while..and then started feeling how I use to feel a few months ago (when I was sure I had MS) like a slowed down feeling, uncoordinated/clumsy, like my brain and hands werent working together (I bartend so I have to count money a lot) so after a while that kinda faded and I was talking to someone and almost felt like I had a headrush and felt like I could pass out for a second. After that my neck started feeling tight and like I had pressure at the base of my skull..wasnt super concerned at first but I noticed when I bent over a little or bent down it made the sensation worse...so I was thinking it was maybe my blood pressure. As soon as I got outta work I ran to Ride Aid and checked it there & it was 158/90 something. I started freaking bcuz my blood pressure is usually pretty decent. So I headed to the er..with all the skull pressure/neck tightness all I could think was stroke! Get to ER and its like 162/90 something. They send me for a catscan/do blood/xray/ekg..everythings ok. My blood pressure ended up coming down to 138/87 before I left..but I still have what feels like a tight neck, pressure at bottom of my skull, headache/pressure in my eyes. Now..if I were to have a blood pressure 'issue'..would it of stayed high continuously and not of come down? Im just freaked out now and feel like my blood pressure is gonna be my new obsession now..ugh.

My neck is still tight today..and achy if I move it around. But now blood pressure is on my mind constantly! I went to rite aid and walmart today to check it..and it was 142/90 something the first time with pulse at 105 (I was feeling a bit anxious)..sat there for a minute and took some deep breaths and it went to like 136/90 something with pulse at 87..went to walmart later and tried again and it was like 132/87...thats still a bit high though isnt it? Im gonna call my doctor tomorrow but now I feel like I have a high blood pressure issue and am gonna drop dead because of it. Ughhh I hate anxiety! !!

Mam, i went through all this many years ago and what i used to do is carry two regular aspirin if you get
afraid something is happening just chew them up "i know uky", swallow with something like coke and then
you can go to ER and not panic. "I know this works, i had a HA and stopped at a small store and bought two
aspirin and a beer, chewed up the aspirin and chugged the beer, drove to the hospital, they ran all the tests
and found no damage but they kept me and three days later i had a triple bypass, my surgeon said i
had no damage to my heart, and it was probably due to the aspirin. Peace

Nope I cut out all caffeine quite a while ago..dont smoke..I eat good (for the most part)..not sure why my blood pressure would be high all of a sudden. I think I am gonna buy a machine for home..but I feel like im gnna become obsessed and use it constantly. Im just not very familiar with blood pressure issues..I mean, at what point is it critical and I should go to er when I check it? Is it something that can be high for long periods of time without possibly any major issues? I went shopping today and bought a ton of fruits and veggies and am gonna try eating even better and exercise more. I just feel like its another thing fir me to obsess over now

I hope you are feeling better today? I was sorry to hear you had to goto ER but glad they run all the tests and they all came back clear that is good news and you need to believe in those results which is hard I know if you are having high anxiety.
