Does anyone else get this?

Hi everyone hope youre all well, i have realised sometjing with my anxiety, when i am out at university or with my friends etc i do not get anxiety like i completley forget about it and feel relaxed and comfortable and happy, as soon as i leave their company and am at home, the anxiety hits me hard and the negative thoughts etc also i feel more comfortable going out with friends i feel nothing will happen panic wise but for some reason when i go out with family i fear the worst why is this

Part of what helps in recovery is defining your triggers...so it is good that you are making these observations...

...as far a why it is? I think the best person to answer that is you!

Do you have some family dynamic or history that is difficult/hurtful/stress inducing?

Or conversely, is your family/home such a source of comfort that you feel you can truly and finally let your guard down after putting up a strong front around your peers?

Of course finding underlying reasons for anxiety is just one piece of the puzzle...

While it is good to identify triggers, so you can work on specific areas that need addressing...

...it is just as important to simply focus on learning and using coping techniques for anxiety management...so don't let that slip!

Hi yes thats correct its because when im with family i am so comfortable

i feel the same way... when my daughter or friends are around I am fine.. but when its just my husband and me its back to anxiety.. however when Im alone its full blown panic attack sometimes... Ive only had a few full blown panic attacks around my husband..they are way worse when im alone..
