Hi all,
I've been posting over on the Fibro board but thought I'd ask a question here. I started taking Lexapro at the end of December. Prior to that I'd been on Paxil off-and-on for 10 years, and then tried Zoloft for a few months, before deciding it wasn't for me, and going over to Lexapro.
I have generalized and health anxiety, as well as panic disorder.
I started at 10 mg of Lexapro, and then moved up to 20 mg mid-to-late February.
Over the past several weeks I've been suffering from muscle twitches ALL over my body. They're distinct, but don't last long (it's like the muscle twitches one to three times), and they migrate. They seem to be most frequent in my legs when I'm trying to relax or sleep. They're not usually painful (occasionally border on a cramping feeling) but they are annoying.
I can't figure out if this is due to anxiety, the fibro, or could be a side effect of Lexapro. Or maybe something else entirely. It's confusing because the twitching did seem to coincide with my increased dosage of the Lexapro, and a little research showed it CAN be a side effect, but it's not a common one, and usually resolves once the body adjusts. I'm roughly 3.5 to 4 weeks in and would have thought I'd adjusted by now.
Anyone have some insight?
