Park, Your doctor gave you really good advice, I wish he would of given it to you in a more calming matter, but it sounds like you looked beyond that and heard what he said. I'm also happy to read that you are going to continue with it, I honestly do think in the long run it is going to help you. Like others have said, if you had something physically wrong with you, wouldn't you treat it with the proper meds? Depression and anxiety is no different, it is an ILLNESS and sometimes we need medication.
I have been on and off AD's for over 30 years and I always stopped taking them cause I thought I could do it on my own, I did okay for awhile usually but always found myself back into a deep depression or with anxiety that was driving me mad. I accepted about 5 years ago that I will always be on some kind of AD until the day I die, it isn't my fault but something is faulty in my brain and I need the medication. Coming to this realization and accepting it has been so much better then in all the years that I fought the medication. So that is my story, and I am not saying you will always need them, but for the time being you do and they will help, keep thinking positive and keep posting here and I promise we will walk this journey with you. Sending you a Big {{{{{{HUG}}}}}. You got this girl!!!!!!
