Very focused on physical feelings right now. I don't know why I can't let some of this go. I feel like I have a little bit of minor muscle twitching. Does anyone know if that is a possible side effect?
I feel like I'm experiencing a quiver in my lower lip/chin area, but maybe that's a result of the extra tension I'm holding in my jaw/facial area?
Either way, it's increasing my anxiety for sure. :-(
Maybe some PMR for facial muscles? Does that exist?

It could be the tension but it is also a known side effect of zoloft, it is benign and won't hurt you and should go away. I do truly hope it goes away, as I think the zoloft is really helping you, I can see the change in your attitude and think you are on the right path.
I'm sure you can find some PMF for facial muscles, if you'd like me to find some let me know.

Thanks, Lisa. It's very mild twitching so I'm pretty sure I would just try and accept it, as opposed to quitting the Zoloft. Regardless, I think it's too soon to make any decisions because my understanding is that side effects begin to dwindle after a month or so? Does that sound right?
I like for PMR for facial muscles and if I can't find anything, I'd love for you to send me some. Thanks!

Yes the side effects should gradually go away within the first month, any left after that might be long term effects or they too can go away. Usually by 8 weeks, most side effects are gone and you'll feel the full benefit of the drug.

Good for you! You'll get your life back.
I started back on Lexapro, a month ago, in conjunction with CBT & I feel great! My husband won't stop pawing on me & my kids always want to be with me and they're teen and tween age---so I must be pleasant.
Can't wait to hear how you're doing! My SSRI took 3 weeks to kick in. :)

Have been feeling pretty awful for the past few hours. Finally took half a Xanax and I'm feeling a little better. The jaw clenching and lip quivering has really bothered me this afternoon. I'm going to keep moving forward because I'm wondering if my cycle starting tomorrow is maybe making things worse for me today. I've decided that if the clenching is still this bad after another week, I may have to try going back to 12.5 when it wasn't quite as bad.
Fingers are crossed that it resolves itself.

Thanks, M.
I'm getting more and more frustrated as the night goes on and leaning more towards cutting the dose. My jaw is killing me!

Frustrated and discouraged this morning. Slept terribly and woke up anxious and short of breath. Is it too soon to tell if the Zoloft isn't working? I've already taken a Xanax this morning. :-(

I hope you are doing better by now. The up and down part of adjusting to meds is the hardest thing! Mornings are the worst for me too. I'm still adjusting to increasing my Lyrica.
I don't think it's that the Zoloft isn't working. I think you're just having an off day. Hang in there. <3

Keep taking your Xanax until Zoloft is therapeutic. Hang in there and try to take one day at a time. We're all rooting for you. :)

Thanks you guys. Your support is truly what is keeping me from backing down my dose or throwing in the towel. I really appreciate you all so much.
