Sorry, Bam. Breathe, and think it through logically. The balloons are fine, and so are you. Watch your kids enjoy them, and relax.

Yes, it's the stuff they put inside to keep them from sticking together. It doesn't taste good, but it isn't poisonous.

Balloons taste terrible!
...but I second JM's assurance that they are not harmful. A foul taste does not automatically mean that something is poisonous...it simply means it tastes bad!
The higher our stress levels are, the more susceptible we become to irrational fears.
The best way to combat these worries? Getting straight into coping skill mode.
If you can dive right into them the minute you feel panic coming on...you might be able to stop it!
Also important is practicing your anxiety lowering exercises everyday...so your overall stress levels are lowered...and you are better able to ignore these troublesome thoughts when they try to bother you.:)

Hi there, i am new here. I am so sorry for your stress over the balloon incident. I know how real that can be. Balloons already taste nasty. If you ever blew up bslloons you know that nasty rubber taste can linger long after its in your mouth.
