Me and the hubs play in our church band just about every week. We have a contemporary worship hour...so it is fun...he plays drums...I sing.

Well...occasionally we play gigs too...he way more than me...

...but tonight we play a private party....and my nerves are setting in nicely right about now. ;)

...I always wonder why I do this to myself...when I have a performance...

...but I am always glad I did it after.:)

P.S. my lead song list is : Call Me, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, My Little Runaway, Chain Of Fools, It's So Easy and Mustang Sally. Duet is Stop Draggin' My Heart Around....and back ups on the rest of set.

My husband is a singer, and he always gets nerves before a performance. Then he is also so happy after, because he's very talented, and people love him. I'm sure you get the same reaction, and that same "feeling" he can't explain. lol

It was really fun! I only had one moment of spinning/feeling faint...it was before the 'scary' song 'Chain of Fools' where you have to go big, or go home...(who can hope to even touch the legend that is Aretha?!?)

...it only lasted a few seconds and then I was fine. I took a couple of big breaths and told myself that I have gotten through rougher stuff before...and that was the end of that.:)

We had a bunch of people up and dancing by the middle of the second set....so that was encouraging..

...it means the band was good...or that the bar was 'open', LOL!

There were about 200 people there all together...big birthday bash for sure!

Thanks for all the encouragement. I really drew upon it for confidence.:)
