Anyone Else's Anxiety Get Aggravated By The Heat?

It is about 98 here in Los Angeles (and while this is considered "nothing" compared to people who live in hotter climates) it's hot for here, and especially with no air conditioning! I'm pretty sure I blew a fuse, or overworked the thermostat, or whatever the correct terminology is, because my AC only blows lukewarm air. Not the icy, chilly blast that I so desperately need and it definitely makes me more irritable, and anxious.

But I guess in an attempt to see the glass half full, I will no longer need to exercise today as just walking to the kitchen seems to have me sweating like I just did a 5k, hehe.

Yes, mine does. This seemingly never ending heat wave - it basically started last winter and never left - really gets me down, and makes me not want to leave the house. Nearly 90 degrees today, in an area where it should be in the low 70s this time of year.

And I'm in California too. Watching my landscaping and the trees slowly dying doesn't do anything to help things either.

Yes! It's about 90 here in Western NY, and I've had a heck of a time with my anxiety! ): I'm ready for fall!

I feel for those in California right now, so sad that this drought doesn't cease. The heat and humidity makes me sick and sweaty and my anxiety is really bad when that happens.

Yes I can't handle it when it's hot and that does have an impact on my anxiety.

Yeah, I would say it can aggravate the anxiety. If it's all muggy, you probably have bugs driving you bonkers. They make me angry. Being uncomfortable in itself can cause an increase in anxiety most likely.

Just found out my whole AC unit is busted and likely wont be fixed for another week. My house reached 93 degrees yesterday inside, with temps of 100 on the outside. Ugh

Heat never used to affect me until after my anxiety and panic attacks started. Now I try to avoid going out when it's very hot.

Heat and humidity impact me because I become physically uncomfortable and have difficulty breathing.

Have you gotten the AC fixed yet??
