bit of an update!

I went to see a cardiologist today,

Come to find out, I DON'T have Mitral Valve Prolapse!
Even though I've been told I do by what "my results showed",
He said my valve is normal!

And my holter monitor from back in april, which my doctor never went over with me, showed no pvcs/pacs, anything, despite having/feeling them!!

 

Wow!  What a turn around, huh?

How are you feeling about hearing this?  It's a bit shocking I guess...and you may need some time to process it all?

However, this is good news...if a bit confusing...

What you may have been feeling as PVC's could be gastro in nature.  I have had what I thought were palps...

...only to realize it was stomach gas/burps rumbling around.  The stomach is much higher than we realize! (very far up towards the chest)

Geez, your story all along has been so similar to mine... Makes me wonder if my palpitations are actually palpitations because I have had a Holter Monitor and they said it was normal, but never actually confirmed or denied if I had palpitations which I was experiencing during wearing the monitor. Definitely have to ask about that at my next appointment. I have been wondering lately if it is my stomach because even with the beta blocker I have still been experiencing them mildly and it is usually only if I bend over (therefore causing pressure on the stomach) and after I eat...
