Hello everyone. It's been awhile guess that's a good thing . I went and had an mri of my neck and I have to wait till Oct 21 to speak wth the Dr again to go over the results I know it's not normal or I wouldn't be called in . I'm scared it's life threatening. Would they have me wait that long ??

Actually it is a common practice to call a patient in to discuss results regardless.

So you may very well be told as all is well.:)

Also try to remember that things are not always either black or white...but possibly a neutral in-between.

It could be that you have an issue that needs treatment, but that doesn't mean it is a serious condition. ..

...just something to manage for feeling your best.:)

...and yes, the fact that your appointment is a month away,speaks to the fact that it is not an emergency.

Hang in there until you hear anything for certain, and keep your thinking positive.:)

I can understand the stress and anxiety caused by just waiting to hear from them.

Though, I agree with S.C.
From experiences with my father's condition, if it was an emergency they wouldn't wait a month to contact you.

They might just want to discuss the results, it doesn't necessarily have to be something very serious. MRI is used to detect conditions from very minor to major. Try to distract yourself meanwhile waiting, but I know it's easier said than done.

I can really relate to your post as I have an MRI scan on Sunday and will be seeing my doctor about the results 2 weeks later but I think this is common practice.

I think keeping yourself as busy as possible is a good idea to keep your mind of things.

Thank you all for the replies. Aslong as it isn't serious I'll be ok and I've asked tons of people who all said what you said my appointment would not be a month away. I'm kind of taking comfort on the fact that it maybe something fixable that has been cause all my problems ! And that gives me relief that it might all be gone soon !

Hang in there. I've been where you are and worrying about the test results only causes your more discomfort. Have trust in the doctors that they will know how to help you. I know right now it may seem like there's no end in sight, but by going to your doctor and getting the tests you are well on your way to finding an answer.

Hello everyone . My mri results posted in my health portal c5-c6 c7 herniated disc 2 cysts on my nerves in my neck and loss of natural curve in my neck !! Wondering if that's causing all my head tightness and tingling ! I'm pretty positive it is ! Alot less anxiety now :)
