Hi there! I just wanted to chime in really quickly!
Last summer was a dark time for me and I was on .5mg of Xanax, 3-4x a day! It got me trough one of the most challenging times in my life. I slowly started using it less over the course of an entire year and then finally began a taper back in August. I am off of Xanax completely now and with the help of my doctor and an appropriate schedule, it really wasn't hard. Now I carry my Xanax with me as a rescue med and while I definitely miss feeling relaxed like I did on Xanax, I'm happy to say that for the 3rd time in my life, I was able to go off of it.
Don't feel bad for utilizing a tool that was available to you and really, try not to worry much about
going off! Your dose sounds teeny tiny and I bet you have great success. Have faith in yourself! You're actually managing better than you think you are!
