Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and looking to make new friends and for support. I've had anxiety for few years and it really sucks. I really would like to heal it naturally if possible. I would love to hear everyone journey with anxiety too. Has it improved? Has anyone been able to heal their anxiety?
As for me I stopped eating sugar and I have healthy sweeteners instead and that's helped. I find that people don't understand me because I have anxiety.
My anxiety is often triggered by back pain and sensations just above my kidneys and my upper middle back. I got an xray earlier and turns out my upper back has a very minor curve out of alignment. When I mentioned to a GP doctor recently about
my back pain he felt it was inflammation and gave me something for the inflammation and it did help somewhat but still I have a lot of physical pain in my back and anxiety. On a good day (which is only sometimes) I have no anxiety and no back pain and no racing thoughts or very little and I feel grounded and feel pretty darn good, I talk to people and smile hello, not worried about
anything.
I am someone who is outgoing and likes to spend time with people but since my anxiety I don't like to go out much. I try to challenge myself but my anxiety ends up embarrassing me and reinforcing more anxiety. When I go to the store sometimes I can feel my back pain starts, then I feel anxious, I feel a bit dizzy, and my vision gets a tiny bit blurry then some racing thoughts and I become self conscious then people look at me weird and it really hurts my feelings sometimes they seem awkward around me and look anxious too and when that happens feel embarrassed. I try my best to not let my emotions show and I think I am doing well with that but somehow people notice that I feel uncomfortable sometimes especially if I am waiting in long line up at a store.
I think I would like to see a councillor but I really need someone who is kind and understanding maybe spiritual. Do you know how I could go about
finding someone that's right for me? Has counselling helped with your anxiety?
