New Member Questions

Last month developed sudden onset rapid heart rate tremors sweating nausea. Enlarged thyroid but levels fine. Cardiac work up showed overall ok. Can it still be medical? Symptoms subside but never fully go away. Tried buspar for a week now on Zolof for a few days still no change. Getting desperate. I need to function and work for a living.

Hey Weeziern,

It seems like you've been going through some high anxiety symptoms. I want to say that a majority of the time if things check out medically then your health is fine, its usually the anxiety that tells you different. Have you been on SSRIs before? I know all too well about having to function as I work about 16 hours at two jobs to provide for my family and its so hard to catch my breath at times. Just know that the SSRIs can take a while 6-8 weeks for effects. Patience + acceptance are the two biggest things that will help at this point. Just know that the meds will work given time and just try your best to accept that the symptoms you're experiencing are nothing more than anxiety getting a little out of hand. I hope this helps in anyway and I'll keep you in my prayers.

I am sorry to hear of your anxiety and symptoms. ..I know how frustrating this can be.

Like the others have advised...giving your Rx time to become therapeutic is going to take some patience. ..but you should end up with a med that performs well for you.

Are you also considering therapy for a well rounded treatment program? It is recommend as meds can only do so much in relieving the symptoms.
