I guess I should update. The cardiologist has told me that my sonogram and 24hrs heart monitor came back normal. That my heart is healthy! Now that should make me jump for joy because that was my biggest concern. I am happy though I really am. I eat healthy food everyday and anytime I have even a
cookie or two I freak out. Today I had a slice of mozzarella cheese and a small plate of Chinese food. Now I think it's going to cause a heart attack. I love eating healthy but I like to have a little junk food once a week or so. But my darn anxiety gets so bad that I can't even enjoy a
cookie. Does anyone get like this? I feel so ashamed of how I feel I brake down and cry. I miss enjoying such little things.
Thanks for letting me get this out

Hi Kelly,
I had fries on weekend and I felt just as you.
Once in a while it's ok to eat junk I guess.
Or diet plan will fail.
All I worry is my cholesterol might be up.
Get your lipid levels checked every year and do not worry.
I am exactly like you .
Worry a lot and reach nowhere.
All my thoughts play in a loop non stop.
I am missing on life as I feel I need a pause button....in my brain lol...
Hope you feel better and relax sea.
Good luck..

I like to eat healthy and love exercising. That being said I believe in all things in moderation. A
cookie or 2 is not going to hurt you. Are bodies are a lot stronger than we give them credit for! I like to subscribe to the 80/20 rule....80% of the time make healthy sensible choices, the other 20%...relax and enjoy some 'fun' food as I like to call it. Be happy, your heart is healthy and strong!!! That's awesome!

PD,
First of all congrats and celebrating your great test results!! Enjoy this feeling of relief!
...now as far as your nutrition worries...
Many of our great grandparents ate diets heavy in eggs, butter, cream, lard...
...and lived pretty long lives!
That is not to say that we should not strive to have a healthy diet...of course we should...knowing what we do now, it would be foolish not to.
However, as the others mentioned above...it is the overall average that counts...so if you are eating mostly healthy...a little indulgence here and there is allowed.:)
Try to see things in less stark black and white...and make room for some grey in your eating habits.
This will help keep you healthy and happy.:)

Thank you all so much. I know I feel so silly for feeling this way. I eat healthy all the time. I'm big on fruits like kiwi,Apple's,berries, and oatmeal. I eat heart healthy stuff and do my best not to ever go overboard with junk food. 6 months ago I would eat so much chocolate all week. But they told me my cholesterol was high. So I cut all milk chocolate and change to one piece of dark chocolate a day. I've lost 100lbs but I still worry so much. But thanks to all of you it makes it so much easier. I should enjoy a little bad foods. And not think the worse every time. Thank you all so so much

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss! You're an Inspiration!
and changing your eating habits! that's amazing!
also, congratulations about
your tests!
I've had the testing to rule out heart problems, but im in the same boat, I can't help but shake the feeling about
still worrying, and feeling terrible for eating a piece of chocolate, cupcake, a
cookie, etc.
I beat myself up so bad over it!
