Hey Park- just here to tell you you're no alone. I always get crazy stomach flu anxiety (when you're stuck in highschool surrounded by other students, it's more than likely you'll get it ).
But what about the stomach flu really triggers your anxiety? Is it the prospect of vomiting itself, or the yucky feeling, or the positivity of being unable to care for your kids if you're ill?
For me, it was always the lack of control I had when I was ill. I remembered feeling incredibly nauseas and not being able to relieve it. I calmed myself down by rationalizing the fear- if the nausea didn't let up, we could always get some anti-nausea drugs from the doctor, or I could go to the hospital if needed. That always helped decrease my fears, knowing I had options.
Did you know there's actually a name associated with people who fear vomiting and stomach illness? It's called emeptophobia, and it's actually really common among people with anxiety. There are a lot of resources out there for people with emeptophobia (Google it- the number of results are shocking and reassuring ;) ).
Anyways, I'm really inspired how you're pushing through this anxiety and continuing to be an amazing mom tk your little one, WHILE BEING PREGNANT. You're a supermom, for sure. Stay strong! We're always here if you need us!
