obsessive thoughts on zoloft

Its been a few weeks since i have checked in. I have been on zoloft now for about 6 weeks. For about the last week i have developed obsessive thoughts that range from a random movie scene to not so good dark thoughts. It seems to be mostly at night.

Has anyone had this happe ? I know one of the side effects can be increased thoughts of suicide ect. But i am all over the place with this..

No increase in dose. As a matter of fact, i have ben only taking 25mg. Which makes me think i am getting into my own head and freaking myself out but i wanted to see if others were having to same problem.

Did you ever have this challenge as part of your pre-existing anxiety issue?

If so, and if you had relief intially with your start up...and this is now returning...

...it could be that it is time for an increase.

If not, and this is a new issue popping up out of nowhere, then your med may need evalutation.

Either way, it sounds like you should give your doctor a call for a consult if you've not already.

I hope you get the answers and relief you need soon. For now, draw upon your coping skills to help get you through. (see the top of the forum page in the Resources for material!)
