Hello,
Haven't been on in about
a year but its winter and I'm having major anxiety problems again since the seasons changed in Nov.
Started taking Buzbar 40 mg about
a year ago but haven't really felt much positive affect.
I use Klonapin as needed for years. Recently started taking Lexapro again, started with 10 mg for two weeks increased it to 20 mg. recently. Is it normal to feel tired when you increase from 10 to 20 ?
I'm having lots of stomach discomfort from the anxiety resulting in lose of appetite.
I'm not feeling in well general from the anxiety and from not feeling well I feel depressed also
I've taken Lexapro in the past and at times I wonder if its helping me.
My worrying and how bad I'm feeling is causing me to feel worse.
any help is appreciated

Hi Racing,
Sorry to hear about
your challenges with anxiety and your start up.
How long total have you been on your Rx? It can take several weeks for the med to build up and level off in the system...
...and previous to that, things can be difficult before the therapeutic effects are noted.
Are you using any coping skills at this time to help offset the s/e's? This is recommended. ..and we've a great Resource Guide at the top of the forum page here....so take advantage of this!
For negative thoughts/worries, I like therapy worksheets (we have downloads in the Resources) and positive mantras. The words we say to ourselves have power...so repeating something like this can help:
"I am making progress in my recovery, and will feel better with time and continued efforts."
If you still aren't feeling better within a few weeks (depending on when you started the Lex) and after practicing the coping skills regularly. ..
...you will want to consult your doctor on how to proceed.
Post with us anytime for anxiety support and sharing. We will do our best to keep you encouraged. :)
