Im on a thin line folks,

Ive been trying my best with mindfullness, medication, breathing, cbt. Ive done sleep studies, bloodwork, and have just done about everything I can do. Im so exhausted and I feel like I have no other ways to try and beat this thing. I feel guilty for the smallest things, I feel hopeless, I feel like I tend to think about the worst and spiral everyday. I need advice and I need to know what else I can do.. I know that I can up my meds but my depersonalization is really bad to the point where if the meds were to intesify it I feel like it would make it permanent. Im desperate and hope someone can offer advice.

hey there. call for support, your psych team, gp etc. an intervention may be required. (hospitalisation). I send many healing thoughts to you. your reaching out and asking for help is your sign of strength, never forget it.

I know this feeling all to well. I am just getting past this feeling as I type this. I believe this is a natural response to anxiety, because we feel bad for feeling bad all of the time. I get in really bad spots and just want to give up, but I don't because I don't really really want to give up, I just want the feelings to go away. This is normal. We have all felt it before. The best thing we can do for ourselves is keep moving forward and beat the feelings, because I know for a fact that this nasty storm makes all the good days even brighter and sweeter. I'm sorry to hear you're struggling, AK. Do you think your meds are doing anything for you at all? If not, maybe it's time to discuss trying something else with your doctor. I've been feeling crapty lately too, so know you're not alone. We've been where you are. Hang in there!

I just went through (maybe still going through) I horrible time the last two months, multiple times I was ready to throw in the towel. I agree with Turtle, you should contact your psych docs or possibly go to the hospital for support.

Maybe also try a different medication. It took me a while to find the right one.

Are you still seeing your therapist?

...and sorry, remind me...do you see a.p-doc for meds, or a PCP/GP?

Hey, I am in the same boat...
I watched Eckhart Tolle, Catherine P perry and I started taking ativan 2mg a day and I am feeling a tiny bit better.... Try to keep yourself busy and live in the NOW...

You so may want to research something called an IOP = Intensive Outpatient Program. It's usually done @ a hospital, provides support, skills and med management, but you go home every afternoon. Sometimes it's called 'partial hospitalization'.

Have you tried coloring? Lately I've been into it as al last resort when my other coping mechanisms aren't working and for some reason it works wonders. You can use a coloring book, or do it free style (which I do), and it's very calming and therapeutic and surely a form of meditation.

I'm sorry you're continuing to have a tough time. Please be gentle with yourself and remind yourself that this too shall pass. With everything, anxiety or not, there are good days and bad days. Just the beauty of life. You will get through this and we are here to support you every step of the way.

I'm just trying to take everything day by day for now but its just so hard. Having a wife with a kid on the way is going to take away any outpatient program. I'm just going to have to get through this rough patch on my own. Once again everyone, thank you for the kind replies. I hope you all have better days!

Wonderful news...congratulations!

Keep working your program...whether you are still seeing g your therapist. ..doing self help...or even better...both!

Consult with your doctor about an Rx evaluation. ..to be sure you are on the right track in that aspect.

...and keep posting for support.
