Sounds like it's a major trigger for you. During times like that where I'm 'activated' meaning my stress level is high and anxiety is constant, I try to make sure I'm doing things to take care of myself. Hot baths, going to the coffee shop, taking myself out to lunch or wandering around a bookstore.
Remember to 'put your oxygen mask on first'. If
You take care of yourself, you'll be in a better position to take care of others.
I'm on the opposite end of it, my kids are fine, but my 73 yo father fell and shattered his knee and my 65 yo mother in law
Fell and broke a shoulder, not to mention I have my 3 yo at home w me on MWF's. It's a lot, especially as a mom, so go easy on yourself.
